
It took me about 6 weeks to sew this shirt by hand and I am soooooooo proud of it!

Like I said in an earlier post, I have learned a lot with this project.
Shoulder strap Gathers at cuff
(Sorry, I know these photos are a bit blurry, but hopefully you get the idea.)


The shirt turned out to be super long on Lewis and way too full in the front. You can see that I took in the fullness in two seams down the sides of the front.
Also, Lewis was uncomfortable with the neck being so tight, so I used a hook and eye to stretch the closure. Hopefully that is not going to matter under his military stock.
Ordered metal buttons for the cuffs…

and the Dorset buttons for the collar.
